WDFA:KIBERU’S HEADER GIVES NKUMBA KATAKA FC FIRST LEAGUE VICTORY

Nkumba Kataka FC celebrated their first league win this season, edging SFC FC 1-0 in a thrilling match at home.

Kiberu Elvis headed home a well-placed corner kick from Bonny Mukasa Vidduka in the 19th minute, securing the crucial victory.

The match saw SFC FC dominate possession early on, but Kataka FC took control, creating chances and taking the lead.

Despite facing relentless attacks, Nkumba Kataka FC held on to their lead, securing a hard-fought win.

“This victory gives us a boost and more chances to fight for survival,” said Kiberu Elvis, the goal scorer.

“I feel happy to score today and give my team maximum points. I confirm to the fans that the team will get back to winning ways.” he added.

SFC FC Head Coach Busagwa Stanley conceded defeat, saying, “We were unlucky today because they got one chance that defeated us.

“Our target is to win the league no matter the setback today.”

Nkumba Kataka FC now has 7 points from 11 games (1 win, 4 draws, and 6 losses).
