Issa Bugembe Masterminds UPPC win over UPDF FC
Midfield maestro Issa Bugembe scored a screamer early in the 3rd minute and later Substitute Muhammed Kyeyune put the icing on the cake with a beauty in 2-0 home win against relegation strugglers UPDF FC.
Bugembe was at the center of attention attempting at many occasions and creating several scoring chances butbwas beaten by Julius Poloto for the Man of the Match Award.
The Painters win over UPDF ensured the the debutants raise to 5th position with 46 points just behind leaders Vipers (59pts), Kitara (54), KCCA FC (52) amd Villa (51).
Nordeen Bunjo got his chance to find the back of the net in the first half in the 7th minute but failed to capitalise on captain Poloto delivery.
The first clear visitors’ opportunity fell to captain Joseph Janjali but his shot went over the bar in the 14th minute.
UPPC FC Left back Eric Senjobe tried from long range but his effort went far over the bar.
Bogere tried from long range, but his effort went over the bar before the half time mark.

Defender Aggrey Kirya got the visitors’ best chance of the second stanza, but his header effort went inches off the mark.
Bogere also got an opportunity to level the scoreline but was denied by Otim with a comfortable save.
Bugembe almost doubled the lead and his second on the day, but his shot hit the goal post.
Substitutes Sadik and Munguchi both tried shots from long range but failed to hit the target.
