MASAZA CUP 2025: Busiro Hosts Record-Holders Gomba in Matchday Five Showdown
The 2025 Masaza Cup is heating up as we head into Matchday Five, with one-time champions Busiro Ssaza FC set to host record champions Gomba in a thrilling fixture on Sunday, 27th July 2025 at the Ssentema Ssaza Grounds.
Both sides will be looking to bounce back after dropping points in their previous Bulange group matches. Busiro suffered a 2-1 defeat to Ssese, while Gomba was held to a goalless draw at home by Buluuli, missing a crucial penalty in the process.
Busiro, led by creative midfielder Kennedy Ssewankambo and striker Michael Jinta, will aim to return to winning ways. In their four games so far, Busiro has collected four points—a win over Buluuli, a draw with Buddu, and losses to Busujju and Ssese.
Meanwhile, Gomba has endured a disappointing start to the campaign. The five-time champions have managed just one point from four games, losing to Buddu, Ssese, and Busujju before their draw with Buluuli.

Gomba heads into this fixture desperate for their first win of the season, and key players like Michael Abura will be vital if they are to revive their campaign.
