Kimera in the Spotlight as Vipers defeat URA FC to Stretch Summit Lead.
Forward Kenneth Kimera came off the bench to assist twice for Vipers SC in 2-0 victory against URA FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league game played on Tuesday at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
Kimera who replaced injured Isaac Ogwang at halftime, assisted Allan Okello to score from the penalty spot in the 60th minute and Enock Luyima in the 75th minute.
Okello gave the hosts a much needed lead when he beat goalkeeper Omedwa from the penalty spot capitalising on a foul on Kimera who was pulled down in the 18 yard box.
Young star Luyiwa, put the game out of reach for the visitors from outside the 18 yard box after his well struck effort beat goalkeeper Omedwa to find the top left corner of the net.
Other Vipers’ opportunities fell to hitman Yunus Sentamu, Allan Okello and Kimera but were all denied by Omedwa in the posts.
The visitors didn’t create many chances but their best opportunity fell to winger Semujju but his effort was blocked by Torach.
