Wasswa Bbosa Takes the Helm at Kitara FC: A New Era Begins

Kitara Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Wasswa Bbosa as their new head coach, marking a significant shift for the Bunyoro-based team. Bbosa has signed a one-year contract with the Royals, stepping into the role after the departure of Brian Ssenyondo, who left due to the club’s disappointing performance.

Under Ssenyondo’s leadership, Kitara FC struggled to find their footing in the Startimes Uganda Premier League, managing to collect only four points from their first six matches. The team’s record includes a win against Lugazi FC, a draw with Mbarara City, and losses to NEC FC, KCCA FC, Police FC, and Bul FC. As a result, Kitara currently sits in 14th position on the league table, facing a challenging season ahead.

Wasswa Bbosa is no stranger to the Ugandan football scene, having previously managed several notable clubs, including Soana FC, SC Villa, Express FC, and Mbarara City. His extensive experience and coaching credentials will be crucial as he aims to turn around Kitara’s fortunes.

The club will be looking for a fresh start as they prepare to face URA FC this Friday, November 1, 2024, at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. Fans and players alike are hopeful that Bbosa’s leadership will inject new energy and strategy into the team, helping them climb the league table and secure better results.

As Kitara FC embarks on this new chapter with Wasswa Bbosa at the helm, the coming weeks will be pivotal in determining their path forward in the competitive landscape of Ugandan football.
