
Bulesa Cup: Nkumba Central Thump Mazowezo to Storm Quarter Final.
Nkumba Central joined Friends of football and Monaco among teams that have already qualified for this year’s Quarter Finals.
Nkumba Central humiliated Mazowezo (6-0) in a very entertaining last group C encounter played at Nkumba Kataka Pitch on Wednesday in the Kataka- Bulesa memorial tournament.

Nkumba Central Qualified for the quarter finals of this year’s Memorial Tournament having drawn with Kasenyi 0-0, and defeated Kawafu 1-0 in thier second last group game.

Kasenyi with 4 points, will need a point in the last group game against Kawafu with 3 points to qualify and a win for the latter will guarantee them a place in the knock out stages.
Kasenyi having defeated Mazowezo 8-0, their draw against Kawafu will guarantee them qualification to the quarters, and a win will ensure they qualify as group leaders.
Dennis Kalanzi, Davis Kasirye, Rogers Mugisha and Ibrahim Kasinde scored the goals for contenders Nkumba Central.
Stylish winger Denis Kalanzi broke the deadlock early in the first half when he headed in a well crafted Paul Willa cross. And later he found his second with a superb finish to bag a brace on the evening.
Lanky forward Davis Kasirye doubled the with a well struck freekick that left the goalkeeper helpless.

Before the half time whistle, Kalanzi found his second to make it 3-0, when he tapped in a well crafted ball by Thomas Kakaire.
Back from the dressing room, on the 49th Minute mark, Rogers Mugisha scored a beauty from a long range when he was set up by left back Komakech to make it 4-0.
Ibrahim Kasinde scored the 5th goal before Mugisha put the icing on the cake in the 74th minute to seal the score line.
In a game that started on a very intense pace, Mazowezo goal keeper made kept his team in the game with a great on Kasirye’s first effort and a man who was too busy infront of goal through out the game shooting and missing some clear chances
Earlier in the 20th minute, Rogers Mugisha got a freekick opportunity but was denied by the goalkeeper, and Kasirye missed on the rebound opportunity.
Talented youngstar Kakaire also got his chance to get on the score sheet that would the team’s 3rd goal, but his shot was blocked for a corner.
A highly motivated Nkumba Central side by Counsel Derrick, also got another opportunity that fell to team captain Kawawa Junior that magically put the ball behind the net, but was ruled for offside.

Veteran striker Kasirye who was later replaced was wasteful on the night, missed a keeper to beat opportunity when he was set up by Kalanzi who put up a Man of the match performance.
Nkumba Central a side that uses mostly SUPL players missed services of SUPL top scorer Allan Kayiwa, Douglas Muganga, Fred Gwoto but others that include; Davis Kasirye, Thomas Kakaire, Andrew kawooya, Paul Willa, Rogers Mugisha, Kawawa Junior, Ibrahim Kasinde took part.
Bulesa memorial Cup action returns Thursday as Kitubulu face Garuga Stars.
Group games action are expected to end on 30th July and Quarter finals will kick off on 3rd August.
