Calvin P. Emayu: Masaza New Kid on the Block Inspired by Orit Target Professional Football
Exciting Teenager Calvin Peter Emayu playing for regional League side Ntungasaze, inspired by Ibrahim Orit and Vinicious Junior has all eyes on playing professional football.
Every season of the prestigious Masaza tournament brings fresh talents on the national and international scene and with just a single game played young star Calvin Peter Emayo has already written his name in the skies.
The exciting winger, is not a new face in the Masaza Cup having featured for Kyaddondo and Buleemezi before but this could be his break through season to make it as far his football of playing professional football.
Infront of his Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda II, and thousands of local football lovers at the 2023 official opening ceremony, the gifted attacker stood out the best performer on the evening.
Emayu currently with Regional league side Ntungasaze (Mityana), assisted Abubakar Mayanja for the first Mawokota goal and scored the 3rd goal that killed off the game.
Emayu also a student at Uganda Matyrs University Nkozi, a natural right footed winger, started showing his quality and abilities with his excellent dribbles, beating opponents and caught the eyes of many when he made that well calculated delicious left footed delivery for Mayanja to score the equaliser.
Emayu born in a family with no football history dreams of playing football and that’s his target whenever he gets to any football pitch for a match or training.
” I want to be a professional footballer, that’s playing outside Uganda and in a short time from now, I believe I will have made it there and am working so hard towards achieving that.”
A kid born and raised in Kaberaimado started playing football at Peace for peace academy in Mayuge district in 2007.

Emayu highlighted Buddu as the toughest side he has ever met so far failing to get positive results whenever he has faced them.
He also mentioned UMU Nkozi teammate Odoi Valentin and Ronald Kaye of Ntungasaze as the best he had played with so far, then Gaso Peter and Oluka Jonathan as his toughest individuals he had played against.
Emayu looks on Uganda Cranes star Ibrahim Orit & Brazilian star Vini Junior as his role models.
” I love Orit and Vini style of play and I learn alot from them to up my game, because we okay the same position, but when I was starting to play the game, I was inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo.” He stated
Emayu is a product of Prince of peace and New ABC Devine (Jinja) academies
The young star also target playing for his country soon when the opportunity for a maiden call arises.
” Just like any player, I would one day love to represent my country at any level, am very hopeful, and i will be delighted if the chance comes and am summoned.” He stated.
He also shared his happiness while playing the game; “My best moments in football is scoring goals and see fans happy and my low moment in the game is seeing them and coaches angry over me.”
Emayu under Rusal Sports Management, also expressed his desire to play for two UPL Clubs before he could move to professional ranks.
” I feel like playing for URA FC and KCCA FC before I can move to Europe.”
