Komuntale was one of the outstanding players in the Crested Cranes squad that represented Uganda in the Women Africa Cup of nations this year still ongoing in Morocco.

Uganda fell out early at group stages level after loosing 2-0 to Senegal, 3-1 to hosts Morocco only managing a 2-2 draw against Bukina Faso.

Komuntale who scored a goal of the tournament contender from a set piece, was unlucky to be sent off in the 82nd minute for a second bookable offense against hosts Morocco.

Komuntale was also instrumental in Crested Cranes’ victory at the 2022 CECAFA Senior Women championship held at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Kampala Queens finished 2nd and lost the title to She Corporates by a single goal (difference) after both managing 39 points.
