Tooro United Goalkeeper Given Delighted With MOTM Award, Hopeful they Will Survive.

 

Tooro United Football Club Goalkeeper Kenneth ‘Given’ Lukyamuzi put up an astonishing performance in the clubs’ 1-0 victory over fellow relegation threatened brothers Onduparaka at Buhinga Stadium in Tooro.

 

Given who was impressive with a Man of the Match performance for the bottom placed StarTimes Premier league Club, believes he can help his club survive the axe.

 

” Am happy as a player and for the team that we got maximum points off Onduparaka and more so winning the MOTM accolade. This gives me more courage as a player to work harder.” Lukyamuzi stated

 

” The team has been boasted by arrival of new players and every one is positive to achieve our dream of surviving the axe, which I believe we can. We feel there is a big difference between first round and now.” He added.

 

Given has played 10 games this season and has managed to collect seven points

 

Tooro United FC has added a couple of experienced players that include; Doka Musa, Ronald Magwari, Ssenoga Kagawa, goalkeeper Mansoor Mutumba and others to boast the squad.

 

First choice goalie Given has to see off Simon Mawuya and experienced former Masavu FC, Express and Wakiso Giants player Mansoor Mutumba to retain the number one spot in the posts at the club.

 

The young promising goalkeeper also highlighted on his broader target and dream speaking to Sports256 in an exclusive interview.

 

“My immediate target is helping Tooro survive and also get a bigger club than my club and my dream is to play for the national team and make it to professional football in Europe.”

 

This was the second MOTM accolade for the 20 year old after winning it at St Mary’s Stadium against Vipers SC.
