SUPL:DENNIS OTIM STARS AS UPPC FC DRAW WITH MAROONS FC

In a closely contested Startimes Uganda Premier League match at Muteesa I Stadium Wankulukuku, Entebbe UPPC FC and Maroons FC settled for a 0-0 draw.

Despite several promising chances, both teams failed to find the back of the net.

Marvin Oshaba’s close-range header was off target, while Issa Bugembe’s trademark shot went inches wide.

Odong’s good cross was met with a head that couldn’t connect, as Polot’s effort was unsuccessful.

Midfielder Munguchi’s shot deflected off a teammate and went out for a corner.

Maraons FC’s Ivan Mayanja was forced off the pitch with an early injury, replaced by Ivan Oshaba.

Julius Poloto had a clear chance, but Maroons FC captain Kabona Edward was equal to the task, kicking the ball to safety.

In the second half, Dennis Otim was the hero, making crucial saves to keep his team’s chances alive.

Maroons striker Walugembe tried everything, including a keeper to beat, but Otim was equal to the task, saving the shot into the corner.

The game ended 0-0, with Entebbe UPPC FC goalkeeper Dennis Otim named Man of the Match.

“It was a tough game, but we managed to stick to our game plan. Unfortunately, we didn’t convert our chances, but we appreciate our travelling fans from Entebbe,” UPPC goalkeeper Otim said.
