SUPL:CAN UPPC FC SNAP NEC’S HOT SPELL IN THE CORPERATIONS DERBY

The Startimes Uganda Premier League matchday 20 kicks off tomorrow with five games across different venues.

NEC FC takes on Entebbe UPPC FC at Lugogo in the Corporations Derby, a clash of giants.

The diehards come in strong, having won their last two matches a 1-0 win over UPDF FC and a 2-0 victory against Lugazi FC in Najjembe.

Samuel Jr Kawawa Jr. was the hero in their first leg encounter, scoring the lone goal in UPPC FC’s 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, Entebbe UPPC FC’s form has been shaky, with a 0-0 draw against Express FC, a 1-0 win over Mbarara City, a 2-0 loss to Kitara FC, and lastly a 0-0 draw with URA FC.

Coach Abdallah Mubiru’s side hasn’t scored a goal in their last two games.

NEC FC in 7th place , 30 points will look to extend their winning run against fifth placed Entebbe UPPC FC with 35 points.

The trio of Samuel Ssekamatte, Innocent Media, and Richard Basangwa could pose a threat to UPPC FC’s backline.

UPPC FC’s Ambrose Kigozi, with nine goals, remains a top marksman.

Who will win the bragging rights in the Corporations Derby?

It’s the hagging question ahead of tomorrow’s night fiesta in the capital.
