UFL: CAN UNIK END THE 5-YEARS WINLESS STREAK
The University of Kisubi (UNIK) will face Kampala International University (KIU) this Friday at Yes Centre Nsambya.
With UNIK seeking their first win in over five years in the University Football League.
They are currently bottom of Group A with just one point from three games, UNIK’s task won’t be easy against KIU.
UNIK’s previous matches have been tough, with a goalless draw against Mountain of the Moon University, followed by 4-0 losses to Mbarara University of Science and Technology and Kampala University.
Defender Jonathan Ariho is optimistic, saying, “We have had good preparations, and all my teammates are in good health to fight for the must-win three points.
“We must manage the pressure to come out victorious.”
Ariho, along with Emmanuel Byamukama, Lumu Hamprey, and Bukenya Peter will lead the charge.
On the other side, KIU, who are fourth on the table with four points, will also aim for maximum points to boost their advancing hopes.
A big win could put them on top of the table.
Can UNIK pull off an upset? Remains the question for Friday’s encounter
