FUFA DRUM: Coach Gama Applauds Chairman Kasozi For Bunyoro Historical Achievement.
Henry Gama on his first attempt as Province Head coach guided Bunyoro to their first ever quarter final in Seven years of the FUFA Drum tournament when they finished second in group C behind Busoga.

It was a huge task for experienced gaffer to reach the knock out stage in a tough group that had Busoga and Kigezi where all the three provinces tied at 5 points, same head to head performance only separated by the goal difference(one).

Gama was greatful to God, players and fans for the commitment, as well the team management headed by Deo Kasozi for creating a favorable working environment for the coaches to perform.

Am so happy and excited that as Bunyoro, this is what we have been yarning for, it was tough but we made it, we have a good team, good management to see that as Bunyoro which is historically a big province in the history of Uganda with Omukama Kabalega being the hero among historians in Uganda, we really fought and we have to protect that glory. And the management want to appreciate them for giving their best to fund the team, the fans and media for giving us the publicity. I thank God that we have done it historically.
Gama speaking to Sports256, pointed at going as far as they can with more hard work and commitment at the next level.

We achieved the first target, now we turn our focus on to the next stage which is a big one, so we look forward to doubling our efforts and prepare better, we know the quarter final stage is going to be more competitive so we must be ready to match that level. We call upon the fans to come in big numbers and as well support their team financially. We hoped for a win against Kigezi but atleast we managed to get an important result to qualify as Bunyoro province to the quarter finals. Am very happy that this is the first time since the tournament started that we could make it, as Bunyoro we are a very big province so it’s very important that we make it to the next level, I would love to thank the management, most especially the province chairman Mr Deo Kasozi for being behind the team’s success especially to have our facilitation and motivation and all the other management team members.
