Busujju Coach Henry Katende Reveals Target Ahead of Buwekula Visit.

Two counties that are yet to lift the prestigious trophy, Busujju and Buwekula will face off at the Quarter final stage in the Masaza Cup 2025 to decide who will progress to this year’s semi-finals.
Both sides having been impressive in their respective groups, then focus goes on who applies the right tactical approach between Henry Katende and Kawooya Felix Ssekabuza at the helm at Buwekula to guide the county to the semi-finals where they will find either Kyaggwe or Ssese.
Henry Fortunate Katende in charge at Busujju after the departure of Hussein Kato to Mawokota weeks ago, hinted on their target this season speaking to this site.
We take each game as a final, the county has played in the semi-final twice, but this year our main target is to give Busujju people something they have never experienced and and that’s playing in the final and winning the trophy, so our main target is winning this year’s Masaza Cup trophy
He as well, highlighted on the secret behind an impressive group stage performance leaving Five-time champions Gomba, Three-time champions Buddu and another champion Busiro in the group.
We decided to build the team for seasons, we have been dropping some players that we believe cannot match the standard we want and we brought in other players that have quality to the squad that’s why when you see us we play as a unit.Hussein Kato leaving the team affected us is one way or the other because we had proper understanding between us and he was a leader and an example and because he had shared a lot with us and shown us the path, we missed him because we had built a strong foundation, it was easier for us to take the team forward.
Katende joined Busujju in 2022/2023 season as assistant to coach Mike Bukenya, then assisted Allan Kabonge the next season and has served as Hussein Kato’s assistant for the previous two seasons.
Busujju that finished second placed in Bulange group with 18 points host Buwekula that topped Masengere with 22 points on Sunday 28th at St Luke Catholic parish in Kakindu and the next week they will travel to Mubende for the return leg.
In his conclusive remarks, Katende was greatful to his management, fellow technical staff and called upon fans to turn for the big show down against Buwekula.

Busujju best performance ever is reaching the semi-final stage and yet to play in the Masaza finals and Buwekula has featured in the final and lost 2-0 to Buddu.
