The Uganda U20 National Team (Hippos) will face neighbours South Sudan, Central African republic and Congo Brazaville in group B at the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations finals.
The draws that were conducted on Friday in Cairo, Egypt, Uganda will avoid big boys; Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria and Tunisia at the early stage of the competition.
Uganda defeated South Sudan in the CECAFA regional qualifiers finals held last month in Sudan to qualify for the finals.
This is the second time that Uganda will be participating at this stage.
The Uganda Hippos lost the final to Ghana in their maiden appearance.
Group A, will see big boys Egypt, Senegal and Nigeria face off early along with Mozambique.
