USSSA2026:ST CHARLES LWANGA SS KASASA REIGNS SUPREME IN KALUNGU DISTRICT

St Charles Lwanga SS Kasasa has been crowned champions of the Kalungu district Football Boys finals.

 

The team, led by captain Ntume Alex Junior, won the title without conceding a goal, defeating arch-rivals Wagwa HS from 1-0 in the final.

The lone goal, scored by Ntume Alex Junior, was enough to secure the win for Kasasa, ending a five-year district trophy drought.

The team’s solid defence and strong team effort paid off, with the backline keeping a clean sheet throughout the tournament.

“We really wanted to win this trophy to end the five-year district trophy drought, but we also appreciate the administration and our fans for their support,” Ntume Alex Junior, the goal scorer, team captain, and tournament MVP, said.

Special awards were given to outstanding players, including:

– Most Valuable Player: Ntume Alex Junior (Kasasa)

Kalungu District will be represented by six schools at the Masaka Regional tournament next week, with only three schools progressing to the USSSA final tournament in Lira.
