Kitende, AMUS Join Race to Capture U-17 Star Abdul Shakul From Buddo.
With several schools expressing interest in adding national champion Abdul Shakul Babi to their squad, record winners St Mary’s Kitende and AMUS College lead the race to lure the national team U-17 star services.
According to this site reliable sources, there are also other schools that have approached Babi’s parents for a possible move, having completed Senior Four (S4) last year with flying colors.

Buddo, that has already lost some of the title winning members of the squad to Kitende and AMUS and other schools, along with coach Richard Malinga, would love not to lose another star in Babi to direct rivals.

The 16 year old exciting winger, was instrumental in Malinga’s youthful squad that defied odds to scoop the national championship in Ngora last year.
Babi is gifted with pace, trickery on the flanks, loves dribbling with both feet and an eagle aye on goal something that has currently tabled him among the best in his age bracket in the country and in secondary school football.

Babi has represented Uganda at the U-15 level before he was later promoted to the Cubs (U17) last year.
When contacted and asked about Abdul Shakul Babi next step after senior four, his mother Irene Asiimwe, who is the son’s number one supporter and fan, said.

What I can tell you now is my son performed well, and I believe he is among the best performing footballers in the country. He sat at Buddo, and I can not say now that he has left there because he is loved there and he loves the school as well, and he is among the history writers. But I can also tell you I can’t predict where he will end up for now, because I have received several offers from different schools but I haven’t reached agreement with any for now..but we shall tell you or you will know with time.Asiimwe told Sports256.
Malinga, who won the championship with Babi at Buddo, back at AMUS College, many would think they lead the race, but SMASK is also another serious comcolour’s.

Babi, a product of Della Torre Soccer Academy based in Luwero, joined Buddo SS after being impressive at Janan in Senior One.
As we dive into the busy secondary school’s football competition, different schools are looking at blistering their squads to effectively compete for the title and according to USSSA program, the Elite competition is slated for Friday 27th February.
The Elite competition, for starters, is played by the eight teams that reached quarter finals in the last USSSA national championship last edition, for this case that were held at Ngora High School, and the Elite competition this year is hosted by Janan Schools.
St Mary’s Kitende has already captured another U-17 national team player and last edition MVP Owen Mukisa from Buddo SS.
