Garuga Stars FC Return to Cherish Grounds Ahead of Second Round

Garuga Stars FC have confirmed their return to Cherish Grounds in Garuga as they prepare for the second round of the Buganda Province Fourth Division League.

The club had been hosting their home matches at Nkumba, the traditional home of Kataka FC, during the first round. However, management has now opted to relocate back to their original base in a bid to revive their campaign.

Garuga Stars endured a challenging first round and currently sit eighth on the league table. The return to Cherish Grounds is seen as a strategic move, with the club hoping to rediscover the form that once made the venue a fortress — notably during their triumphant 2023 league-winning campaign.

The Buganda Province Fourth Division League features 12 teams, with only the table leaders earning promotion to the Regional League. With the second round set to kick off on Saturday, March 7, 2026, every fixture will be crucial in determining the promotion race.

Garuga Stars will begin their second-round campaign at home against Hope Foundation FC at Cherish Grounds, aiming to start strongly in front of their supporters.
