RECORD HOLDERS VILLA SEEK FIRST WIN AGAINST DEBUTANTS UPPC F

Matchday 2 of the Uganda Premier League kicks off tomorrow with two exciting fixtures on the card.

Seventeen-time champions SC Villa (Jogoos) will be out to secure their first win of the season when they host newcomers Entebbe UPPC FC in a much-anticipated night fixture at their new home β€” Kadiba Stadium in Mengo.

The Jogoos will be eager to bounce back after losing their league opener 2-1 to archrivals KCCA FC at Namboole. Meanwhile, debutants Entebbe UPPC FC head into the clash on a high, having started their top-flight campaign with an impressive 2-1 victory over Lugazi FC in Entebbe.

Charles Lwanga and Ibrahim Kasinde will be key for SC Villa as they look to ignite the team’s attacking spark and claim their first three points of the campaign.

However, Entebbe UPPC FC have already shown they are not to be underestimated. The trio of Junior Samuel Kawawa, Hassan Ssenyonjo, and Issa Bugembe have the potential to cause problems for Villa’s defence and could spring another surprise result.

This will be the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides, adding an extra layer of intrigue to an already exciting fixture.

All eyes will be on Mengo as 14th-placed SC Villa welcome 6th-placed Entebbe UPPC FC under the Kadiba Stadium floodlights.
