Nemostars, KCB-Nkumba Shine as National Volleyball League Serves Off

Nemostars and KCB-Nkumba started the 2025–26 National Volleyball League season on a high, registering impressive victories as the campaign officially got underway on Friday night at the Old Kampala Arena.

In the men’s category, Nemostars brushed aside defending champions Sport-S with a commanding 3–1 win (16–25, 25–22, 20–25, 18–25). Nemo displayed dominance throughout, controlling play and capitalizing on Sport-S’s errors to make a strong statement of intent for the new season.

Meanwhile, in a repeat of last season’s women’s final, KCB-Nkumba edged defending champions Sport-S in a thrilling five-set encounter. The Nkumba-based side showed great resilience to prevail 3–2 (22–25, 25–13, 25–19, 18–25, 9–15), signaling their determination to reclaim the crown.
