Uganda Names Provisional Squad for FIFA U-17 Qatar World Cup 2025.

Uganda U-17 National team technical staff has named a provisional 47 man squad to start preparations for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025.

 

The squad is comprised of 4 Goalkeepers, 14 defenders, 18 midfielders and 11 forwards and will be under the guidance of Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo.

 

Coach Ronald Ssali is retained as Senyondo’s assistant, Kenneth Magada is in charge of the Goalkeepeing department along with Simeon Massa and Dennis Kizito the team physical trainers.

 

The team named, is a blend of some already established SUPL players, FUFA juniors league players, College students and other young stars playing out of the country.

 

Team captain Okello (BUL FC), Vipers’ Abubakari Walusimbi, KCCA FC duo; Brian Ijara and Stephen Oyirwoth, Express’ John Asiimwe are some of the already established premier league stars considered for the task.

 

Other big names include, El Camino academy players; Isma Magala Hamza Ssengoba, Elvis Torach, James Bogere, Kyaddondo SS and  KCCA FC’s Ogema Thomas, St Mary’s Kitende & Vipers striker Arafat Nkola, Bukedea Comprehensive striker Wanyama and Goalkeeper Ashraf Lukyamuzi.

They faces coming in from outside the country include; defender Pantaleo Creti from Grasshopper Club Zürich, Akiz Job Aguma from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Ibrahim Amin from Cincinnati FC,  Etham Adeleke Afuga Adreas Oyedele from Bradfield College FC,  Ikhlas Mutebi from Fußball-Club Augsburg 1907.

 

The squad starts training today at the FUFA Stadium Kadiba – 4:00 PM
