COACH SAKA SETS SIGHTS ON GLORY
Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club has strengthened its technical bench ahead of the new FUFA Women Super League season.
On Thursday evening, the Lubaga-based side confirmed the return of Coach John Oscar Saka, who penned a two-year contract with the club.
βOur main target this season is to win the championship,β declared Assistant Coach Saka, who will work closely with Head Coach Edward Ssozi to implement his philosophy and style of play.
For the fans, Saka is no stranger. He guided the club to its historic first Uganda Cup triumph in the 2022/23 season before moving to Wakiso Hills WFC, where he coached last term.
Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC endured a difficult campaign last season, finishing in 7th place, but the management is confident the technical additions will spark a turnaround.
Nicknamed the Kiddawalime Girls, the team will kick off their 2025/26 campaign with a tough away fixture against She Corporate FC.
