
PARO GALA: Hashtag Dethrown Ggumu Bbiri to lift the Entebbe Parents Gala 2nd Edition title.
It was joy, excitement and happiness as Entebbe Parents ‘PARO’ old students gathered for a re-union at Entebbe Works playground and competed in different Sports disciplines over the weekend.

Hashtag and Madam Rose Select were crowned champions of the PARO Gala second edition in Football and netball respectively.

Hashtag defeated Legacy crew through penalties to win the competition and had earlier defeated Classmates United still in penalties at the semifinal stage.

Legacy Crew defeated first edition winners Ggumu bbiri in penalties and lost the final to Hashtag.

In the netball competition, Madam Rose Select saw off Hashtag, Unfiltered, 6ixers to finish on top with 9 points in a tournament played on a round robbin format and walked away with a trophy plus a set of jerseys.

Uganda Cranes Goalkeeper Robert Odongkara scooped the top scorer’s award managing 4 goals but was happy returning to where his football journey started.

” Am happy to be hear to have fun with people I studied with, it’s a great initiative to re-unite with old guys, this is where my journey started and have managed to move places playing professional football, so am here to inspire the young generation.” Odongkara stated.
Director of studies and chairman organising committe Andrew Kaggwa was happy with the turn up and called upon other Entebbe Parents OBs and OGs to support the second edition cause.
” We are happy that old students have come in big numbers to grace the event, it was a short notice but we thank those that have managed to turn up today, every year we shall always meet with a cause, this edition we are aiming at building the Art Gallery so we call upon other old students to contribute towards the cause and we expect better next year and we shall handle another issue. Brian Messiah of team Ggumu bbiri was named MVP and Kato was the best goalkeeper on the second edition.
Hashtag’s Kato was named best goalkeeper.
