” My immediate target on joing this club is to get promotion to the senior team and playing in the SUPL has always been my childhood dream. I want to give my best this season here and with hard work and my ability, I believe am in the right place to show my potential and I believe my dream is achievable soon. I as well, know other clubs are watching so am happy here and ready for the challenges as we achieve togather.” Nyombi told Sports256.

Nyombi, that joined BCS Last year from St Julian Gayaza, explained why he made a big decision to leave big spenders and a big school to join Greenlight SS Nansana.

” I wanted to get chance at Bright Stars, because Bukedea is far and this school is a short distance to the club and may be another issue would be more playing time here where they have alot of trust me which wasn’t the case at BCS where there is too much competition and limited playing to get exposed, so it was an easy decision for me to come here.” Nyombi stated.

” I have joined this school with much desire to play at the USSSA Nationals for their first time ever, so I want to give my best to guide it there having tried and failed at two occasions. He added.

Greenlight SS based in Nansana, will have to negotiate their way to the top 5/6 schools in a very competitive Wakiso District qualifiers’ tournament if they are to appear at the nationals this year.

Greenlight SS will have to raise the bar to meet other Wakiso Secondary Schools Football power houses like St Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS, Standard High School, London College, Kawanda SS and others to make a dream appearance at the nationals tin late April or early May this year.

The versatile young forward, who can play on both flanks and as center forward, has featured at two nationals with St Julian Gayaza and BCS.

Mbappe joins Greenlight SS with experience having played for Black Stars Masanafu and Prosper SA and now Bright Stars JT for the 2025/26 season.

Mbappe developed at St Julian with URA Junior Team before he last year made a big money move when Technical Director Fred Katende Malibu took him to Bukedea Comprehensive School.

The talented teenager also attended Answale Moslem School, St Jude Masaka, St Andrews Kaggwa Gombe before he joined St Julian in form four.

Nyombi was Knick-named Mbappe after the French Man and Real Madrid star Julian by his close friends because of the farmilality in their style of play.
