Experienced midfielder Oscar Agaba has joined Big League outfit Calvary Midigo FC on a six-month deal, aiming to bolster the team’s campaign for promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League next season.
The left-footed playmaker parted ways with UPDF FC after three seasons, following the expiration of his contract and unsuccessful renewal negotiations. Agaba played a pivotal role during his time with the Bombo-based side in the Uganda Premier League.
Now, Agaba joins a Calvary FC side sitting in 3rd position on the Big League table with 25 points, just five points behind table leaders Gaddafi FC as the second round kicks off.
Speaking about his new move, Agaba expressed optimism: “I have come here to help the team with their ambition of getting promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League next season.”
Agaba brings a wealth of experience, having previously featured for Synergy FC, Onduparaka FC, and UPDF FC. His signing is seen as a significant boost to Calvary FC’s promotion bid, as they aim to close the gap at the top of the table.
Fans of the Yumbe-based club will be hoping Agaba’s skills and experience will be the key to achieving their promotion dream.
