The National Insurance Corporation (NIC) Netball Club of Uganda has secured the East Africa Netball Club Championships title for the second consecutive year, following a hard-fought victory against fellow Ugandan team, Prisons Netball Club.
NIC Netball Club were crowned THE EAST AFRICA NETBALL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Champions in Tanzania after beating fellow Uganda side Prisons Netball Club in final game to accumulate maximum points.
NICβs triumph came after an intense final match, with both teams entering the showdown undefeated. The final saw NIC outplay Prisons, solidifying their dominance in the regional competition.
Leading up to the championship game, Prisons Netball Club demonstrated their prowess by defeating KVZ (Zanzibar) 57-32, Warriors (Tanzania) 73-12, ZIMAMOTO (Zanzibar) 73-26, and JKT (Tanzania) 60-26.
NIC matched this impressive form with their own commanding victories over ZIMAMOTO (Zanzibar) 58-22, JKT (Tanzania) 45-21, Warriors (Tanzania) 84-13, KIUT (Tanzania) 74-19, and USIMIAJE (Tanzania) 41-33.
The final game highlighted NICβs resilience and tactical superiority, enabling them to secure all possible points in the tournament.
