Forward Dennis Mwemezi is eager to prove his worth at his new home BUL FC after failing to make cut into the first XI at St Mary’s Stadium with Vipers SC.
The speedy winger is one of the promising young stars in the StarTimes Uganda Premier, signed from Masaza Cup but hasn’t got enough playing time last season with the tough competition at league champions.
Mwemezi was aggressive about his ambitions speaking to the club website after completing a two year deal that will keep him at the Eastern Giants untill 2024.
Am super excited to join one of the best and big clubs in the country, it’s the club that I think will help me grow and advance in my footballing career. My targetis to play and help the team achieve more success, win trophies and at least take the club into CAF confederation cup group stages. He stated.
The club head coach Alex Isabirye was happy with the signing bringing in a young player he can develop more.
“ Mwemezi is a young player nurtured by one of the best clubs in the country, he gives in 100%, his ready to learn and i think he will help the club achieve it’s objectives.” Isabirye pointed.
Mwemezi will represent Stambic Uganda Cup champions, BUL on the continent in the CAF confederation Cup this year.
The speedy winger is a product of Buganda Masaza tournament where he emerged as the top scorer in 2019 while featuring for Sese Ssaza.
Mwemezi joined Vipers from Ssese and he has spent 3 seasons at Kitende, registered 8 goals and assisted 10 times.
Mwemezi becomes BUL FC 7th signing of this transfer window and he joins experienced striker Frank Kalanda, defender Ronald Otti Ocitti, Emmanuel Obua, goalkeeper Tom Ikara, forward Athony Mayanja and defender Benon
