Masaza Cup 2022: Kyaggwe hold Favourites Busiro At Nakisunga
Kyaggwe Ssaza held Busiro Ssaza Football Club 1-1 in an exciting Masaza Cup 2022 group C encounter played on Sunday at Nakisunga play ground in Mukono district.
Akram Shafiq Muzanyi scored first for the visitors early in the game and Kyaggwe captain Hussein Senoga shortly levelled.
Simon Peter Mugerwa’s Busiro looked a better side from the start to the end but couldn’t find the winner.
The visitors got numerous chances to take a second lead before half time and in the second half, but their efforts hit a dead end.
The hosts got one clear chance in the second half to win it, but their captain and danger man Hussein Seenoga didnot use it when he was closed down by central defender Agaku.
Bringing two big coaches in Masaza at Busiro Mugerwa who won it with Bulemeezi and Ssekabuza that also won it with Ssingo and Gomba(twice),and the squad they have, Busiro is tipped stowin this year’s title.
Felix was Kyaggwe head coach last year and Mugerwa was head coach at Bulemeezi.
In the same group C, Bulemeezi has defeated Busujju 2-1 away from home and Bugerere has defeated Ssese 2-1.
Bulemeezi and Bugerere lead lead group C with 3 points each, Busiro amd Kyaggwe are 3rd & 4th with a point each.
In the group B game played today, Amuli Mukasa scored for Ssingo in a 1-0 victory over
Kayaddondo at Mityana Ssaza Stadium.
In the other group B games, Buvuma beat Buluuli 1-0 yesterday and Buddu earlier drew 0-0 wit Mawogola.
Ssingo and Buvuma top Group B with 3 points , Buddu and Buvuma with a point each.
In group A, Buwekula edged record winners Gomba 1-0 with a sole strike from Elvis Sekajugo.
