Vipers SC forward Najib Yiga scored late for St Mary’s Kitende to edge Nile High School Arua 1-0 to book a round of 16 place in the competition.
Despite struggling in the opening group games with two draws, holders Kitende have qualified with a game to play in the group.
A win against Nile High guarantees Kitende (17 points) a place in the knock out stages that will be played on Tuesday as group A leaders.
