Mr Zubairi Kivumbi Farther to Fauzia Najjemba, believes his daughter has all it takes to be a world Star.
Crested Cranes Star, Uganda U-20 Women National team captain Fauzia Najjemba beat Lady doves duo of Fazila Ikwaput and Daisy Nakaziro for the Female footballer of the year award.
The Kampala Queens (KQ) captain drove away a brand new Subaru Impreza from Speke Resort Munyonyo at the Airtel FUFA awards event on Saturday.
On top of the car, she was also rewarded with UGX 1million for winning the award and another UGX 1 million for making the best XI of the season.
Her father Mr Zubairi Kivumbi, who was overwhelmed for what had happened, pointed at hard work and praised God for the success.
When Nalukenge won the Car last season, i felt so happy but wen we went back home i told Najjemba, that you should also work for it, am so excited, ‘Omwana kyankoze’ I just dont undersatnd what is happening now, who am to be the father to this star….!

Fauzia talent did not just fall from heaven, her dad Kivumbi also played football for Kigayaza FC and earned some money from the game back then.
The joyful dad also pointed at keeping focus, if his daughter is to become a world star.
” I see my girl becoming a ‘Ugandan Ronaldo’ and this is my wish after becoming the best on the land, if all goes well, i want her to go play professional football abroad which i think can do for her abilities.
I thank God i have never paid any coin since he entered S1, am so proud of this, it has been her talent that has provided for her education, and i just can’t guess the places where her talent will take her to.
The father was also greatful to the school that offered the daughter free education, coaches and everyone who has given in anything for Fauzia to develop.
Fauzia hails from a football background according to the father who also played the game.
His brother Hakim Lule plays for Nakifuma United but he is often caught up with work and i anticipated so much Lule to play football to the top but very surprised it is the girl that is making wonders now. And even his other brothers, football paid for them school fees to University.
Her mother stayed at home but she is very happy for what she has heard. The dad further stated on Saturday
On the same event, Vipers SC midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga also drove away after beating Express FC’s Eric Kambale and teammate Azizi Kayondo.
Express FC’s Wasswa Bbosa and KCCA FC’s Wasswa Emmanuel scooped the Coach of the year and Beach soccer player of the year respectively.
SC Villa wonder kid Travis Mutyaba was named Futsal beach soccer player of the year.
