This was confirmed by the official release on the Federation of Ugandan Football association(FUFA) website. Fufa.co.ug.

Earlier, Abraham Luzzi and James Kawesa were arrested at Abaita police post at the eve of the Stanbic Uganda Cup game between Five Stars Vs Tooro United FC game over match fixing allegations.

The game was worn by StarTimes Uganda premier league club Tooro United in penalties after a draw in normal time.

Five Stars FC goal keeper Jackson Kigozi had reported to the club owner Shafiq Kakooza that there were some officials that wanted to bribe him and Kakooza worked hand in hand with Police to arrest them a night to the match and the two spent a night in the Police custody.

Kigozi earlier speaking to Sports256 after the Tooro United game stated; ” It was really a challenging time, Tooro guys were calling me so that we can fix this game but I couldn’t do this that’s why I reported to our manager. But it’s nice that we have been knocked out fighting in penalties. But it affected us that they had called some other members of the squad, that’s why you have not seen some of them playing today.’ Kigozi told Sports256.
