Former Express, URA Striker, Big Promise On Joining Uganda Cup Champions BUL.
Experienced Forward Frank ‘Machete’ Kalanda has promised fire works after completing a two year renewable contract to Stanbic Uganda Cup Champions Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL) Football club.
The contract agreed upon, will see former Cranes Player Kalanda at the Eastern Giants untill June 2024.
Kalanda becomes the first signing for manager Alex Isabirye in this transfer window in a bid to strengthen the club ahead of CAF Confederation cup engagements.
He was delighted with the opportunity given to him according to Bulfc.co.ug.
“ I am gretful for this opportunity given to me by the club and manager Alex Isabirye being part of the biggest clubs in Busoga and Uganda at large.”
” I am am willing to work with the entire technical team, management, teammates, and fans all together.” Kalanda noted.
Machete had some good words for BUL FC fans at the official unveiling function.
“ I want to Put up some good performances here and all I target, is to score lots of goals that will help the team achieve more success.”
Kalanda rose to fame for his brace against Tanzania in a 3-1 win as Uganda Cranes qualified for CHAN 2014 in South Africa.
The experienced forward has featured for Express (two stints), URA FC, Tooro United, Police and Rwandase side AS Kigali.
Kalanda’s new club BUL, had a superb last season, finished 4th with 52 points, behind Champions Vipers, KCCA FC and URA.
BUL won the Stanbic Uganda Cup title after defeating SUPL Champions Vipers 3-1 in Masindi and will represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation cup for the first time in their history.
