Cranes Winger Abdul Lumala Clarifies on News Linking Him To SC Villa
Uganda Cranes forward Abdul Lumala has come out to clarify on earlier allegations linking him to StarTimes Uganda Premier side struggling side Sports Club Villa.
Lumala 22, a free agent after leaving Egyptian club Pyramids, training with 16 times champions, earlier posted a Villa budge on his official Facebook page something that raised thoughts of many Ugandan football fans that he could have signed or he could be thinking of signing for the Jogoos.
Lumala has used social media to put it clear that he hasn’t put pen on paper for any club and will inform the people if he lands any deal.
” I don’t know where the news is coming from I haven’t signed for any football club just to clear the air am a free agent thank you soon I will be letting you know my next club in sha allah #LA22 #electric ⚡️⚡️.’ he posted on Facebook.”
The experienced forward played for different clubs in Sweden before moving to Pyramids.
The ‘electric man’ played for Mjallby in 2015 where he scored 3 goals in 24 appearances, spent three years at Kalmar FF between 2016-19 and made only 10 appearances.
In 2017, played fro Varbergs BoIS and was loaned to Helsingborgs IF for the rest of the season.
In 2018 played for IFK Varnamo made 22 appearances but didn’t score a single goal and made a move to Syrianska FC in 2019 for another loan move.
It was after an impressive show at the Africa Cup of Nations that the Egyptian club picked interest and signed the Ugandan forward.
The speedy winger has managed 6 caps for the national team the Cranes since making his debut on 9th June 2019 in a friendly against Turkmenistan, as a starter.
The next destination of the Electric man as he prefers to be called because of his ‘electric’ speed on the pitch remains in doubt.
